Apply Adhesive
The InSoFast panels are installed by applying a 3/8" bead of foam compatible adhesive such as PL300 to the surface of the three ribbed attachment studs.
When starting in the corner, place an additional bead of adhesive directly on the foam at the end of the panel to provide adhesion directly in the corner.

Press into Place
The panel is then pressed into place against the concrete surface.
The concrete surface should be clean, free of debris, and dry for the adhesive to work properly.

Running Bond Pattern
The running bond pattern or staggered pattern is the best installation method for the InSoFast panels. The method reduces waste and provides for a more even surface should there be inconsistencies in the concrete surface.
When cutting a panel in the corner, use the scrap piece to continue around the corner. By following this method, the running bond in maintained.

Cutting the InSoFast Panel
Cutting the panels couldn't be easier. Just score the face of the panel with the measurement and then cut through the foam with a snap-off utility blade. It is easier to do in a couple of passes.
Horizontal cuts through the stud can be made with a hand saw, jig saw, circular saw, or table saw.

Cutting out for Outlet Boxes
Just press the outlet box against the foam to create an indentation, then cut out the foam with a snap-off blade knife.
For easy installation locate the outlet boxes along vertical or horizontal chases. The vertical chases are indicated by a line on the front side of the panel (see photo). The horizontal chases are located at the top of each panel.

Outlet Boxes
Any type of electrical box will work with the InSoFast panels such as plastic, metal, or fiberglass. It is recommended to use a standard 2-1/2" deep box or a 2" deep box with a 1/2" mud ring.
The outlet boxes should be secured to the concrete wall with adhesive or a mechanical fastener. Please consult with your local electrical inspector.

Wiring
The easiest wiring method utilizes Romex type wiring which can be pulled or fished from box to box through the wiring chases.
Flexible conduit can also be used. When standard conduit is used, it is either installed as the panels are installed or completely installed before any InSoFast panels are installed. The foam is then cut out around the conduit.

Mechanical Fasteners
At times mechanical fastening may be required. If the panels don't sit tightly to the wall at certain points, if the concrete surface is dirty, or if drywall is to be installed immediately, then mechanical fastening is required.
There are three recessed attachment points on each stud face. Use 2-3/4" hex head Tapcon® screws or Gripcon® nails. The nail installation is easier than the screw installation.

Drywall Installation
Building Codes require a 15 minute thermal barrier over all foam products. Standard 1/2" drywall meets this requirement.
Attach the drywall to the attachment studs using standard course thread drywall screws.
