InSoFast Production Questions

Everyone likes to know how things are made. This short clip from an episode of The DIY Network’s Renovation Realities shows how closed cell foam beads are molded into our interlocking panels. All of our manufacturing takes place in the United States.

When we founded our company back in 2006, one of our core goals was to make insulation simple. Soon after the launch we started our Youtube channel with informative videos about our product specifications and installation tips. Chances are if you have an InSoFast question, you can find a detailed video on our channel that answers it. 2 R’s Won’t Make Your U: Improving Thermal Performance in Large Buildings

In this video created by Engineering.com, Building Science Professional Mark Lawton discusses R-Values and variables that affect the thermal performance of insulation. Did you know that common insulation procedures can decrease the R-Value by 50%? This is one of the flaws in traditional insulation that we’ve addressed in the engineering of InSoFast panels. Our design provides continuous insulation which prevents thermal bridging, meaning your InSoFast wall will maintain it’s R-Value long after other foams and fills have failed. The video explains why addressing these variable is important.

Loctite PL Premium Strong!

So what’s the deal with the adhesive? Well, this silly test from Loctite shows just how much PL Premium holds up. But to get technical, we worked with a third-party independent testing facility to evaluate the power of our engineered stud/adhesive bond. The astounding results concluded the safety factor at over 400 times the weight of standard ½-in drywall. Most structural beam systems are engineered to a safety factor of only 2-3 times their rated loading. That’s a lot of weight!

Moisture Control Channels

What happens when you combine Kool-aid and InSoFast? You can see the moisture control channels at work. In this clip Dean describes why moisture drainage is important and what can happen if it’s not properly addressed. But more importantly he demonstrates the capabilities of InSoFast’s engineered moisture control channels…with blue Kool-aid.
