InSoFast Batt-Brackets Sample

InSoFast Batt‑Brackets are an engineered system of thermally broken standoff brackets that create continuous layer of exterior insulation while eliminating thermal bridging. Compatible with Steel Stud Batts that are wider than standard batts, Batt-Brackets are available in 3.5″ , 5.5″ & 7.25″ depths to match readily available batt sizes, and they fasten directly to wood, metal, or concrete. The integrated ventilated rainscreen channels moisture away and promotes drying, improving durability and mold resistance. Pre‑engineered for extreme wind loads, the system supports standard furring and cladding, speeds up installation, and reduces labor. The Batt‑Bracket line delivers a fast, durable, code-compliant and energy‑efficient solution for walls & roofs.

Unlock new possibilities in exterior continuous insulation with InSoFast Batt-Brackets! Designed to use Batt Insulation as continuous exterior insulation, the Batt‑Bracket approach allows the use of Steel Stud Batts continuously, with brackets sized to fit standard batt thicknesses. Steel stud batts measure 16 ¼” or 24 ¼” wide, allowing complete coverage on the wall. The use of batt insulation used as exterior insulation is a much more cost-effective way to get the benefits of products like mineral wool board.

A core advantage is zero thermal bridging: brackets are engineered to avoid conductive paths through the insulation, improving whole‑wall performance. When used one the exterior of the home, the ventilated rainscreen promotes drying through a vapor permeable WRB and reduces condensation risk—key benefits for long‑term durability and mold prevention in CEI applications. This increased drying potential mitigates the risk of water infiltration into the wall assembly and puts the batts in a much better drying condition than if the insulation was installed inside the wall cavity.

The Batt‑Bracket family is pre‑engineered for high wind loads and extreme climates, with a rugged design that maintains performance in storm‑prone or high wind areas. Its rainscreen and ventilation features are integrated into both wall and roof applications to manage moisture from the base of the wall to the roof peak.

Installation is straightforward: brackets fasten with common fasteners to wood, metal, or concrete, then batts are inserted into the brackets. The batts are then covered with a vapor-permeable WRB and furring strips are installed. To learn more about installing Batt-Brackets, please refer to the installation guide
